We have graduates!

Congratulations to Arjun and Basanta, our two oldest boys, now aged 19 & 18, who have 'graduated' CPS and are living independently.

During the last year they have been mentored by Bharat and Anjana on skills such as cooking, budgeting, shopping, laundry etc. So that Arjun & Basanta get off to a good start, the charity has paid for 2 beds and bedding, cooking utensils and a cooker. We have also pledged to support them financially for 3 months until they secure jobs. The total cost for this is 681.

We are very proud of Arjun and Basanta who have grown into hardworking, thoughtful & independent young men.

CPS have just moved into their new House 1!

Soon after the earthquake, the landlord of the existing House 1 requested that our tenancy be terminated as he wished to move into the house following damage to his rental property and in order provide a home for his wider family.
After a long and difficult search, Bharat found a suitable replacement house, the move went very smoothly and the children are very excited to have a new home.

New bursary project.

CPS is implementing a new programme aimed at local children who do not attend school as they are living in poverty. The programme will provide a bursary to cover the cost of school fees, books, uniform and shoes.
Our 1st bursary child, Prassana aged 7, has just started school and we have 4 more candidates in the pipeline.
